We are a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Maryland in 1996. The corporation operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposed within the means of Secton 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
Second Chance Cat Rescue is run by volunteers and is supported by donations. All donations are tax deductible and all moneys received are used for veterinary care, food and advertising for the adoptions of the cats. Volunteers foster the cats while they await new homes. This allows for an evaluation of the cats social behavior and health. Volunteers then match prospective adopters with cats that will fit in well in their homes. Second Chance Cat resuce screens all potential adopters carefully.
