Dr. Maizels saved Montero my 2 year old Nigerian miniature goat. When I got Montero as a baby he ran sideways. I thought it was just the way he was. Has he got older he began to have issues with h I s back hind legs. The vet told me it was possibly arthritis so I would give him the medication when his limping worsen on occasions.
Then last week I noticed that he didn’t want to come out of his indoor pen and his limping got worse. Because I was so concèned I reached out to Patty whose daughter is friends with my granddaughter. She had seen Montero at the farm and commented on his limping. She said she did chiropractic treatment for animals and would arrange a time to come work with Montero. When his limping was getting worse i reached out to her. She said she would come on Saturday to look at him. In the meantime my vet gave me meds on Friday for for his leg and ask if he was urinating. I had not thought about that so I began to monitor him and discovered he was not but would get into position and he had a white discharge from his anus. The vet asked me to bring a sample. She suggested I deworm him but did say that if he was not urinating it could be a blockage. By this time Patty told me she was on her way to the farm to look at Montero ‘s limping. When she drove up I discovered she brought her husband with her. It was Dr. Maizels!. She said she had a feeling he shiuld come with her. It was truly a Devine Intervention. Dr. Maizels examined Montero and immediately said he needed to take him with them because the blockage was life threatening. I was overwhelmed at the thought of loosing him even though he could at times be stubborn he was my Montero. They immediately cleared a space in their SUV and loaded him.
My vet who I had previously emailed, later emailed me back to take him 2 hours away to an emergency center. I informed her of what had just taken placed.
Words cannot begin to express my heart felt gratitude that God sent just who was needed to help my Montero.
Dr. Maizels called me to explain that Montero had multiple stones and that the surgery would hopefully help him pass them. Our family and friends who know Montero Sent up prayers. It is in God’s Hands. Whatever he decides, I am truly grateful for sending Dr. Maizels and Patty to us. They live what they believe. They givr love and care for living things unconditionally. 🫂❤️
