We are an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non-profit Keeshond rescue, serving the Mid Atlantic region, formed to promote the welfare of the Keeshond dog breed and is organized exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. More specifically, such purposes include the rescuing, fostering and placement of abandoned, abused and unwanted Keeshonden into permanent loving homes, while educating the general public about this specific breed.
Many of you knew us as Chesapeake Keeshond Rescue. We changed our name at the time of IRS incorporation to better define our geographical area of coverage. We have been actively rescuing dogs for many years, and will continue to do so until there is no longer a need for rescue.
