Island Dog Inc. is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that is based in Puerto Rico, with offices in Baltimore, Maryland & Puerto Rico.
Our animal welfare organization dedicated to building animal- friendly communities in Puerto Rico. We focus on raising public awareness of the sufferings and cruelty animals endure in the U.S. Caribbean Islands. OUR MISSION *To facilitate programs offering free or low-cost vaccinations & spay/neuter services. *To provide children with a humane education program encouraging kindness to animals, respect for natural habitats, good citizenship, and peaceful conflict resolution. *To feed and medicate homeless dogs living on beaches throughout Puerto Rico. *To provide medication, food, and supplies to humane societies, animal rescues, and welfare organizations working to help animals in the U.S. Caribbean Islands. *To promote responsible pet ownership. *To provide rescue and rehabilitation services for abused and adoptable animals. *To advocate shelter adoptions and work to eliminate puppy mills and backyard breeding.
