Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center is the county’s Animal Shelter and is a division of the Howard County Police Department. We are a government agency dedicated to enforcing animal control laws, promoting the humane treatment of animals, providing adoption services, discounted spay/neuter services, and educating the public on animal issues. We handle between four and five thousand animals a year. All dogs, cats and rabbits adopted from Howard County Animal Control & Adoption Center are spayed and neutered before adoption and receive all age related vaccines.
