Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Maryland is a non-profit 501(3)(c) all volunteer organization dedicated to finding homes for golden retrievers in need in St. Marys, Calvert and Charles counties. About 75% of our goldens come to us from owners who can no longer care for their dogs due to health, finances, lack of time, etc. The others come from Tri-county Animal Shelter. All dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, provided medical treatment and put on flea/tick and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. We have no kennel facility. Dogs are loved and cared for in the homes of trained volunteers who assess their temporary dogss needs to ensure an ideal placement.
