For ADOPTION information, to any area, please email sroot@greenbeltmd.gov. To adopt your new best friend, complete the Application for Adoption, and upon approval, we will arrange for a home visit. Most adoptions can be completed in 2-3 working days!

“Animal Control is dedicated to providing prompt and humane response to animal-related problems in the City of Greenbelt. This includes, but is not limited to, the rescue of injured animals, the apprehension of animals at large, investigations of allegations of cruelty to animals, bite case investigations, the apprehension of vicious animals, assisting and monitoring the operation of the Dog Park, and the pick-up of dead animals.
