Pet portraits in natural settings. I will capture images your dog, cat, horse, lizard or bird in his/her own comfort zone. Hello, and welcome to Big Brown Dog Photography! If you’re anything like me, your pet is an integral part of your life. You pamper, you spoil and most of all, you love. The love we have for these creatures we share our lives with can’t be measured in any way. We’re all a little crazy when it comes to our pets too. Chances are, if you’re here you’re looking to have a photo session with your pet, or of your pet, right off the bat puts you in that ‘a little touched’ category! That’s ok though, there are millions of us who are just as ‘touched’ as you are. 😉 My love for photographing pets came when Abby came into my life. Abby was a Beagle. She was part of a duo; my (now) husband, and her. They were inseparable companions who had such a strong and beautiful bond that I found myself in awe of their relationship. Now, my husband won’t let me photograph him often, so I was left with capturing Abby. I had a handful of wonderful years with her before she passed on. Now, the love of our life is a Big Brown Dog. Peruse these pages, and you’ll know exactly which one she is. From there, my love for seeing animals through a camera lens just grew and my desire to capture their personalities, and their quirks became paramount. I hope to be able to work with you and your beloved pet. My service will include time to get to know your creature (be she furry, winged, scaled or naked (hairless!)) and work with you to determine exactly what you want to capture. Humans are of course welcome to be part of these shoots!
