Best Friends in Harford County (BFHC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping animals in need in Harford County. We specialize in controlling community cat populations through TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). We seek to educate the public in the importance of spaying/neutering all pets, as well as controlling the community cat populations in our county. In the course of trapping, we find kittens and friendly cats that we place in forever homes. We have a pet pantry to provide pet food for those feeding a community cat colony or who can not afford to feed their pets. We have a barn cat program to place semi-feral cats into a working environment. We work with other animal rescue groups to help find forever homes for our foster animals as well as provide safe havens and foster homes, lessening the need for euthanizing unwanted or stray animals.
