CBD Regulations for Pets: All You Need to Know
CBD is a popular topic not only for people but also for pet care. Is this the product your pet needs for optimal health? While some studies claim that CBD products can affect animals such as dogs and cats, most research in this area proves that CBD cannot cause a high. Moreover, many pet owners claim its benefits. This encourages CBD manufacturers to serve people’s needs by offering delicious products such as treats, pills, oils, and even lotions. However, before pet owners can add CBD to their diet, they need to consider the CBD regulations in their states. How Is CBD Categorized for Regulation in the US? CBD products are made from hemp, which, although a type of cannabis, contains very low levels of THC, a psychoactive compound. Historically, CBD products were grouped with all other cannabis products. Back in 1970, this group of products was classified as a Schedule 1 drug and was illegal in the US. Even today, federal law deems marijuana as illegal, even though certain state laws have altered to make marijuana use legal in some states of America. Some legislative changes took place in 2014 thanks to the Farm Bill. Under this ruling, hemp and […]

Blessing of the Pets and Remembrance Ceremony Returns to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Saturday, October 22, 2022
After two years on hold because of Covid-19, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens will once again host its annual Blessing of the Pets and Remembrance Ceremony. The ceremony, which is open to people and pets of all faiths, will honor our pet companions both past and present. In addition to pets that attend, pet parents are welcome to bring photos of their pets who have passed so that they too will be remembered with a blessing. The ceremony will include a special tribute to all service K-9s. This year marks the 55th anniversary of Dulaney Valley’s first pet memorial garden. The event will conclude with the dedication of the Dulaney Valley Pet Loss Center. Pastor Nick Skinner will officiate. WBAL reporter Tommie Clark will serve as emcee. “We are pleased to be hosting the Pet Blessing ceremony this year after the hiatus brought on by the pandemic. The ceremony has always held a special place in our hearts as we recognize the powerful and genuine bond that exists between people and their pets. When we started our Pet Blessing event, we found that many of the families who brought their pets to the ceremony also brought photos or mementoes of their beloved pets […]
Why Adopting a Rescue Dog is So Hard Right Now
I went through a hefty procedure to adopt a rescue dog, but my application got turned down. If dog rescues have no intention of finding homes for them, what is the point in suggesting people go to shelters? This is a common question that I have seen multiple times on different web forums. People who are willing to adopt a rescue dog complain that they have applied for adoption, but their application got rejected. This “Don’t shop, just adopt” trend in society seems so inviting until you practically start looking to adopt a rescue dog. Where statistics show that almost 1.5 million animals die each year in the shelters in the United States, isn’t it bizarre to know that most shelters have a complicated process of adoption? Why adopting a dog from the rescue is not as simple as purchasing the one from a pet store? Well! You can calm yourself down by saying that good things come after some adversity. But you have to dig deeper to get to know the intention of rescue centers behind this complicated adoption procedure. If you want to adopt a rescue dog, then read this guide to know the steps of the dog […]
