A path beyond the fence leads toward a wide stream where dogs can swim and play. A separate small dog area with picnic tables is also located on the premises. Opened spring 2013, Bennett Cerf Dog Park is a small, fenced-in dog park, set within a larger, open county park, with hiking trails.The park features a double gate and plenty of parking, shade trees and benches. Matapeake State Park on the south shore of Kent Island features an off-leash dog park and sandy dog beach on Chesapeake Bay. The park offers nice views of the Bay Bridge. Parking is located at the Matapeake Clubhouse and Public Beach lot. Dogs are not allowed at the clubhouse, its lawn, or the public beach. The beach can be accessed via a dog trail that begins at the fence that borders the rear of the clubhouse. Owners must bring plastic bags to pick up after their pets. No entrance fee. Favorite
