Reisterstown, Maryland – Are you ready for a challenge? Football fans cheering on the final four NFL playoff teams can show their team spirit while supporting their local animal shelter. While the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Detroit Lions get ready to duke it out on the field this Sunday, the teams’ local animal shelters have teamed up for their own challenge. The Baltimore Humane Society, Pets In Need in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michigan Humane, and the Great Plains SPCA are together hosting the first ever Super TAILgate Challenge, a furry friendly fundraising competition to see which team has the most compassionate animal-loving fans. Staff and volunteers at all four shelters are rooting for their teams, and they need your support!
“We take great pride in participating in this fundraising event alongside other animal shelters nationwide,” says Alexa Jones, Baltimore Humane Society’s Marketing & PR Director. “The competition is fierce, but the Ravens Flock is strong! We’re confident that our Ravens Nation will emerge on top! Plus, when you contribute to the Super TAILgate Challenge, the true victors are the shelter animals we serve.”
